At this time, all campus network resources are available and functioning normally due to the implementation of an alternate configuration. The alternate configuration will remain in place for the time being until our primary configuration is restored during a future scheduled change.

In an effort to restore service an unanticipated network impact occurred causing a disruption to several ISU applications. The disruption was from approximately 11:30-11:35. Application impacts included, but weren't limited to, ReggieNet, Slate, Cherwell, VPN, AWS, and PCI.

Update
Campus resource access and network performance has improved significantly due to the implementation of a temporary fix. ISU administrators continue to work with local service providers until a permanent solution can be applied.

Remote locations outside of the Normal Campus have had their service restored as of 9:30 AM.

Some network testing is showing that one internet service provider is not handing off our traffic to another internet service provider correctly.
In addition to VPN Connections this may also impact:
• VMWare (such as Horizon)
• Remote Desktop Protocol
• General ISU Website Connectivity
These errors occur intermittently, and users may be able to bypass the error with multiple attempts.

Administrators continue to work with the vendor to resolve the network impact. At this time it is not expected that the impact will be resolved tonight.

Students, faculty, and staff attempting to connect to VPN may be unable to establish a connection at this time. In addition, a number of remote locations outside of the Normal Campus may have degraded performance or no network connectivity to campus resources.
