What is Impacted: The point of sale credit card transaction processing vendor will be performing maintenance, which may impact the ability to process transactions via credit card terminals.

Resolved: Cherwell ITSM & IT Help Portal Outage

Who is Impacted: Faculty, staff, and students attempting to utilize the Cherwell desktop client, web client, or the IT Help Portal.

What is Impacted: Users attempting to log in to the Cherwell desktop client, web client, or access the IT Help portal will receive an error. Administrators are working with the hosting vendor to restore access.

Start Time: Monday, January 28th at 3:35 PM CST

End Time: Monday, January 28th, at 5:11 PM CST

Workarounds: Workarounds are unavailable at this time.

Resolved: Administrators advise that the vendor has restored access, and the Cherwell desktop and web clients, as well as the IT Help portal are now functioning normally.

Update: Vendor support indicates there is a widespread outage affecting multiple clients at this time. Access to the Cherwell desktop client, web client, and the IT Help portal became available again as of 4:00 PM CST, however, administrators advise that although it is currently available, performance or availability impacts could be experienced until the vendor communicates services are restored.

Who is Impacted: Student employees.

What is Impacted: Student employees may be missing the Pay & Benefits tab in the My.IllinoisState web portal.
