Phishing: Confirm Your Email Address!

It has been reported to the Help Desk that some people have received the following phishing email.

This fake email was not sent by Illinois State University. The University will never ask for your password in this manner via email. If you receive this email, do not reply to it. Never send your password in email. For more info, see [1364] Recognizing "ILSTU TEAM" phishing scam emails.

Important: If you replied with your password, you should immediately change your password via the ULID Password Change web page. If you are unable to change your password, you may reset it yourself using the Password Self-Reset web page. Or you may have your password reset in person with your University ID at the Help Desk office in Julian Hall 115.

Here is a sample received by the Help Desk:
Dear ilstu.edu subsccriber,

To complete and verify your ilstu.edu account, you must reply to this
email immediately and enter your password here (*********)

Failure to do this will immediately render your email address
deactivated from our database.

You can also confirm your email address by logging into your
ilstu.edu account at https://isuwebmail.ilstu.edu/horde/imp/login.php

The Help Desk has received reports that some users receive an error when accessing the Faculty/Staff Information and Student Information channels in iCampus. The following error may be displayed after entering your PIN: "We currently do not have any recorded information for option requested."

Redbird Card System Maintenance

The Redbird Card System will be down for maintenance Monday 11/19 from 8am until approximately 9am. The following services will be unavailable during this maintenance window.
  • Redbird Card services within iCampus
  • Pharos Print solution
  • Any pay service using the Redbird Card that is unable to run in offline mode.

Update

The maintenance has been completed on the Redbird Card System and all services are available.
